Feminist mobility policy and mobility planning for all! Women in Mobility, Women in Cycling, Women Mobilize Women

Tuesday 2.00 – 03.15 pm / Block Side Event

Mobility needs to be accessible to everyone. It needs to be inclusive, but also feminist. There it is again, that term ‘feminist’. Does it have a deterrent effect on men, is it exclusionary? Not if we define feminist as intersectional and inclusive, and not just focus on white, academic women with intact bodies. The term feminist can also be understood as a transformative power which accelerates change. In this session, Women in Mobility, Women in Cycling, and Women Mobilize Women address feminist mobility policy and planning from the diverse perspectives of politics, planning, business, academia, and civil society. At best, next concrete steps for feminist mobility policy and planning will be defined. After all, foreign policy has recently shown how it’s done. Of course, there will be space and time for exchange and networking.

Presentation:
How feminist foreign policy became mainstream and what we can learn for mobility policy
