Der Frankfurter Kranz

Cycle-only roads and cycling zones

(Frankfurt excursion #2 )

Frankfurt is on its way to becoming a cycling city, and the network of secondary routes which is made up of cycle-only roads is to play an important role in this. One example of this is Oeder Weg, which is not only considered a north-south axis for cyclists, but, as a result of the redesign of the street, has now become a more attractive place to spend time. Another example is the Kettenhofweg cycle-only road, which has been established only recently. This excursion is accompanied, among others, by the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (UAS), which is conducting a scientific analysis on the impact of cycling-friendly secondary roads.
